SMART E-BEAT SOFTWARE FOR POLICE STATION PATROLLING

The police beat system is carried out for effective crime control and to ensure visible policing in the area. It increases a sense of security among the public. City PS where public density is more, day and night shifts kind of beat patrolling is adopted.

Day to day basis following works are carried out by beat marshals in MB-VV Police Commissionerate.

1. Patrolling in the crowded areas

2. Monitoring the activities of impacted criminals

3. Preventing crimes by visiting Schools, Statues, Parks and Crowded areas.

4. Checking of ATM’s, Religious places, Crowded markets, weekly bazars etc.

“Smart e-Beat” software is Geo-Tagged digitalize web-based operation to supervise the beat level above work.

Using this software Beat Marshal rider is assigned by police station in-charge in two shift in concern Beat. Each beat has some sensitive and hypersensitive areas.

All these areas are mapped through a geotagging of these points. Assigned Beat marshal as soon as reaches the point , he is able to punch that point on his mobile phone application. Smart e-Beat is a mobile application having facility of monitoring of point punching in real time at police station and senior officers mobile phone as well as desk-top. Also reports can be generated with various options.

1. Software would ensure the beat rider’s physical visit in both shifts.

2. Impact of the beat patrolling most of the time lacks due to beat riders getting transferred or deployed for different work so the beat knowledge and sensitive information would go with them, this issue would get addressed by system driven and knowledge recorded in the smart e-Beat server.

3. SMS can be sent to residents whenever a beat marshal visit’s point near him.

4. Onsite photos can be uploaded if require.

5. Beat Patrolling reports can be seen by supervisory officers’ viz Senior PI, ACP, DCP,Additional CP, CP and control room on their Desktop as well as Smart phone.

6. In day-to-day Police working Beat Patrolling plays major role and very useful to record their performance.
